The journey so far.

Landquery in 2019 was pitched to have been a platform where anyone could self investigate the status of landed properties such as land use, survey verification, land title, zoning regulation etc.

The system was built to generate an intelligence report of some sort to inform buying and building decisions. This report contains the following facts.

  1. Land use information and land acquisition
  2. Land use information, zoning regulation, land acquisition and verification of survey plan
  3. Land use information, zoning regulation, land acquisition, verification of survey plan, and verification of land title.
  4. Property risk assessment and feasibility studies

Other services by extension includes:

  1. Verification of survey plan
  2. Verification of title document
  3. Preparation of survey plan
  4. Title document
  5. Approval Processing

I once read a quote some where that says: sometimes you discover where you’re going while being on the journey.

Now this seem to have resonated with in more ways than one.

We had planned and built a self service platform. This was our dream. But things didn’t quite work out as we had hoped.

Over time we’ve had more people consult us as to help provide this services. And not through the platform we had built. Ofcourse we had a lot of push backs, and a lot of challenges to effectively get it running. But one thing was certain we know the challenge we were trying to solve was real and people genuinely have suffered great loss to lack of basic intelligence report.

Fast forward to 2019 in agege and 2021 in fagba and a lot more places, this happened

I’ve seen properties built and demolished within the space of 9months to 1 year...

This further showed that people hardly pay attention to intelligence reports on properties before buying them. and I don’t want to think its a lack of negligence on the buyers part as much as I would consider how available this intelligence report is to the general public.

This is the primary challenge we are trying to solve.

Lack of effective access to land intelligence reports to inform buying and building decisions. Just recently we’ve been able to save a client from the hands of a fake survey document which did not have a red copy at the surveyor general’s office neither did the coordinates read points on the digitized Map.

The client then decided to run a new survey document with us and yes we did it

Yes We Did it!!!!

Now we run land query not as a self service platform but as a consultancy platform. Query that land before buying…
